Mitch Long Promoted to GRW Vice President

Mitch Long, PLS, CP, GISP, has been named GRW’s newest Vice President.  Mitch is an accomplished geospatial services professional with more than 28 years of experience, including 17 with GRW. He’s a registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Kentucky, as well as a Certified Photogrammetrist (CP), and Geographic Information System Professional (GISP).

Mitch stays involved with industry groups such as Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (MAPPS), National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS), American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP), and Kentucky Association of Professional Surveyors (KAPS). As part of MAPPS, he as held the following positions: 1) Board Member for 4 years; 2) Chair of the Survey Forum; 3) Chair of Nominating Committee, and 4) Member of the Legislative Committee.

Mitch manages aerial mapping and photogrammetry projects, as well as business development, for GRW Aerial Surveys. He’s integral to the success of many of GRW’s geospatial projects and services -- land surveying, GIS, airport obstruction analysis, digital orthophotography, aerial mapping, LiDAR data collection (airborne, mobile, etc.) – and works with clients ranging from municipal and state governments to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Air National Guard.
