He was among three individuals who earned the 2018 Civil Engineering Career Achievement Award during the Department of Civil Engineering’s annual celebration.
Bob earned both his bachelor's in civil engineering and master's degrees in sanitary engineering & hydraulics at the University of Kentucky. He's been a GRW employee for more than 44 years, since he started here as a part-time engineering intern.
A water resources engineer in GRW's Lexington office, Bob is a registered Professional Land Surveyor in KY, and a registered Professional Engineer in KY, IN, OH, NC, PA, WV, and GA.
He also recently has garnered life membership honor awards from the Water Environment Federation and the American Water Works Association.
As was noted in his nomination letter, “Bob is a quiet and steady leader – not only for the rest of our engineering team, but also for many of our most enduring clients.”
UK graduates with degrees in civil engineering are eligible for this award. The event also recognizes individuals in the construction industry, as well as young representatives from both speciliazations.
