Patrick Baisden, PE, LEED AP BD+C, can now add RCDD to his list of credentials; Patrick, an electrical engineer with nearly 25 years of experience, has passed his Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) exam.
RCDDs like Patrick help assure project outcomes are successful as they relate to structured wiring systems and space planning for structured wiring systems, as well as grounding, testing and documentation of the structured wiring systems.
RCDD is a critical designation in many federal sectors in particular and is recognized worldwide, according to BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Service International), a professional association supporting the information and communications technology sector. For example, the Department of Defense UFC lists RCDD as a requirement for telecom design projects.
Qualifications to get this professional designation are rigorous and include class work, documented experience, testing, and ongoing continuing education in the communications field.
